I am from the Upstate New York area and moved to Wilmington after living in Saratoga Springs for 16 years.
As for college I completed my MBA at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York after undergrad at Russell Sage College. I went to work for the General Electric Company on a manufacturing management training program. For 2 years I had various assignments in the Northeast including work on satellites, the space shuttle, and in a New York cast iron foundry. After this training, I went to work at KAPL - a design organization for the US Dept of Energy which designs nuclear reactors and trains the Navy how to run submarines. I spent the majority of my career with this organization in the material management and procurement field.
We located to Wilmington as my husband grew up in the south and enjoyed living in the south. He is in the design engineering field. We opted out of those cold snowy winters and moved to Wilmington. I love the balmy Wilmington weather and all the enjoyable things to do here. Our daughter is in Wilmington public middle school, John T Hoggard High School and has also enjoyed our move.
I have been an active volunteer since I graduated from college. Some of these activities include volunteering for a senior citizens center, delivering meals on wheels, hospital emergency room volunteer, school volunteer, Junior Achievement and Junior League.
We enjoy boating on the Intracoastal Waterway and showing horses in and around North Carolina.
I have found real estate as a 2nd career to be exciting as well as a rewarding opportunity to help people buy and sell their homes.
